Canada-India emergency meeting: Conservatives push to reveal individuals involved | FULL

A parliamentary committee held an emergency meeting in Ottawa on Friday morning, addressing the new allegations of Indian foreign interference in Canada, as diplomatic tensions between the two countries further escalated this week. Recent developments saw Canada expel six Indian diplomats and consular officials “in relation to a targeted campaign against Canadian citizens by agents linked to the government of India,” according to the RCMP. "For the Sikh community, this is something they've been advocating for more than 40 years. And the allegations that were made by the RCMP on Monday were more of a vindication of what the advocacy has been going on for the last 40 years," said Conservative MP Jasraj Singh Hallan. "It's the contention of the Conservative Party of Canada that we need to release all those names so that we can we can, take appropriate action and move on," said Conservative MP Dane Lloyd. Meanwhile, Green Party Leader Elizabeth May said she's read the un-redacted report and that naming the individuals would be "placing at risk the lives of our intelligence assets around the world." She added that "The semi-witting or witting category of MPs have not committed acts that fall into the category of proactive betrayal of their country's interests... I have been warned by people in our security establishment [names] must not be shared publicly."
