‘A sorry trio’: Australia, Canada and New Zealand PMs slammed over Rafah statement

Sky News host Chris Kenny has slammed the “sorry trio” of Anthony Albanese, Justin Trudeau and Christopher Luxon after the prime ministers released a joint statement warning of Israel’s planned military operation in Rafah. In the statement, the leaders warned a military operation into Rafah would be “catastrophic” with about 1.5 million Palestinians taking refuge in the area. Mr Kenny criticised the statement for running with the “soft left unrealistic views” on the United Nations crowd. “The international community should be demanding that Hamas evacuate Rafah, surrender their terrorists and hand over the traumatised hostages that have been held in unspeakable circumstances for more than 130 days,” he said. “How could this not be front of mind? The first argument and pressure point for any politician or nation that values freedom and human rights. “Hamas' greatest weapon is the way it marshals political propaganda globally against Israel, and Australia like so many others is being suckered down that tragic path.”
