500 baby sea turtles return to the ocean
A preservation program in Colombia, in collaboration with local fishermen communities, saw the successful return of 500 baby turtles back to the Pacific Ocean. Turtle eggs found on beaches were collected and brought to a turtle sanctuary for monitoring until they hatched and could be released back into the wild.
